TRAVEL PLAN & GREEN FLAG
On Wednesday 18th January 2012 we held a party in school where parents and special guests were invited to help us celebrate the launch of our school travel plan and success at achieving our Green Flag Award.
Green Flag Party
At our party we served fruit kebabs, jelly, apple juice, green tea and cake. All with a green theme. All the children had a great time and enjoyed the lovely treats and cake. Our green flag was hung with pride in the school hall for all to see.
Travel Plan Launch
At our launch we had a slide show of our new Travel Plan and sold our School Travel Calendar which had the winning entries of our travel plan poster competition in for each month. The winners of the competition all received their award at the launch.
KEEP BRITIAN TIDY -
The Eco Committee will be taking part in a beach clean up of Gardenstown beach in May as part of the National campaign. Due to bad weather over the past few weeks we hope to organise the beach clean up in May and we will issue the date once it has been confirmed.
PLASTIC BOTTLE GREEN HOUSE
This project has been taken over by the P4/5 class as part of their theme this term. P4/5 are looking for help from parents/family members to build the greenhouse. Please let the school office know if you can help.
